Tsk! Well, there I was, all primed to shout Huzza! The deed is done, the ink is dry and all those other good cliches. Letting you all know, in a word – that the first trimester of our third year has been successfully put to bed.
I was all set to tell you about the day we delivered our presentations, running a week late due to strikes, storms and other untoward events. I would have shared with you my major concern that we didn’t really have a suitable time/place to rehearse as a team, so we ended up each rehearsing our own part and trusting to the fates that we could pull it all together like seasoned troupers on the day!
I was ready to share with you, dear reader, how well our presentation went, how I had structured the slideshow, and Thibault tarted it up by adding a theme. How well-versed we were on our material; how proud we all were of The Archers; how happy we were to address the questions our attentive audience fired at us.
Yes – I was all set to do those things when I discovered <shockhorror> an infamous deed! Having run late with his entry for week 11, due to the exigencies of other more pressing assignments, Louis had pipped me to the post and announced to y’all that we got an A for our efforts. His week 11 blog was supposed to have been a suspense story – packed with the tension of completing our prototype, of rehearsals, of fevered meetings and much burning of midnight oil. It was to be a tale of pathos, finely tuned to tug at the tender heart-strings of our gentle reader to the accompaniment of a wailing, morose violin, calculated to engender emotions of empathy and sympathy worthy of a melodrama!
I feel cheated! *CHEATED*! I tell you, that I was robbed of my moment of glory in being the first with the news of our academic success.
(memo to self – must discover some method of lingering and cruel revenge on Louis!)
But hey-ho! All part of life’s rich tapestry and all that and while I am still imbued with Christmas Spirits, I wish all our readers happy holidays with a good 2014 to come. Stick with us, keep reading the blog and enjoy the nail-biting, edge-of-the-chair anticipation of a free-to-play version of The Archers coming soon to a computer screen near you!
